Jennifer Elster wrote, directed and produced the critically acclaimed feature film, Particles of Truth in which she stars with Gale Harold (Showtime's "Queer As Folk"). Particles of Truth made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and has had continued success at such festivals as IFP/LA, Woodstock, Ft. Lauderdale, Santa Barbara and won the Jury Award for Best Feature at the Austin Film Festival.
Particles of Truth made it's theatrical release in the fall of 2004, it plays on the Sundance Channel in a series entitled "New Voices" and the DVD is available. Prior to her filmmaking career, Elster was a fashion stylist, and has conceptualized, cast and produced music videos and photo shoots for such artists as David Bowie, Garbage, Timberland, Moby, Gwyneth Paltrow, Isabella Rosselini, Liv Tyler, and Chloë Sevigny. Currently, Elster just completed her latest feature script "A Nervous Society," she produced Lewis Helfer's feature film Life on the Ledge and directed MTV2 commercials for MTV2's relaunch. Elster and Helfer have just opened an independent motion picture studio in Tribeca dubbed 75 Films. Elster was born and raised in New York City and received her Bachelor of Arts at NYU in psychology and writing. |
